Cant wait. But I think the break is no bad thing on account of Thursday' debacle, getting a 1- 0 victory yesterday and giving time for us to know what the settled squad looks like finally and allowing them to train and bond ready for this game and the rest of the season..

Think that's the earliest matchthread ever, but gives us plenty of time to talk about it.

i didn't really think about the date. It was more to help get things rolling on here. to have the dichotomy of both forums whilst the old one is still operating means that some will not move until they have to. best we get started on here and get comfy with our new home asap.

Any win will do me. It is always hard against the Jam Tarts so three points will do me.

This is good timing for us. They can spend the 2 weeks getting the team to gel in training. It's a good time to consolidate on teamwork

I'm looking forward what should be a tough test. Hearts are always up for it when they meet us and Sat. will be ne exception. Big J.J. will have his team well organised with a 5 man midfield and set up to hit us on the break. Our defence will be tested more than they have hitherto by a Scottish attack , it will be good to find out how they cope. Elliott and Driver, if available, will present a thorough test for Cha and the centre backs . We'll score 2 , if our defence is up to it then another clean sheet will be fantastic.

cant wait, i'll go for 3-0 a debut goal for both stokes and hooper if he fit looking good just now, if not fit 2 for stokes and maloney, would like to see another good defensive display, 4 games 9 goals scored nil goals conceded, good times ahead.

The left back spot used to be the one that needed attention, but now that Cha's defensive frailties have been exposed I'd like to see Juarez play at right back.
We are spoiled for choice in midfield so that area would not be weakened.
We've been making plenty of chances recently without scoring too many goals, but I'm hoping Stokes signing will help sort out that problem.
Bu no matter how many chances we make or how many goals we score, that back door must be slammed shut!

I am looking forward to this one.
I would play the same formation and line up like this:
Fraser
Cha Rogne - If fit Danny Iza
Juarez Kayal Ledley
Maloney Stokes Sammy
4-0 Celtic.

I think this is the first proper domestic test for Lenny's new team. We've done well in winning all our league games so far, especially without conceding, but as far as I'm concerned this is the first side we'll be facing who display potential to cause us trouble. This game will tell us a lot about what we can expect of the side this year. I reckon we'll concede a goal but beat them, what're everyone else's thoughts?
