I suppose if he is less than keen on Newcastle and West Ham cant afford him then there is an outside chance of a last minute loan deal.
The suggestion is that Stokes will happen and Itay Schecter is still be pusued though his club are reluctant to release him.

I don't think there are any circumstances in which Robbie Keane will end up at Celtic during this transfer window.

Latest from the Evening Times:
Anthony Stokes set for Celtic switch
Stokes’ mind is made up on leaving Hibs for a move to Celtic
by Ronnie Cully
Hibs boss John Hughes today admitted Anthony Stokes has set his heart on joining Celtic before the transfer window closes at midnight tomorrow.
Celtic have denied reports a transfer fee has already been agreed with the Easter Road club after their initial offer of £800,000 was rejected.
But negotiations are continuing, and Stokes remains one of two new strikers Hoops boss Neil Lennon hopes to add to his squad, with Hapoel Tel Aviv’s Itay Shechter also being pursued.
Hughes confirmed no deal had yet been struck for Stokes, but conceded there was “a real possibility” it would be done.
Hughes said: “The vibes I’m getting from him coming into to see me, from speaking to him and from his body language, I just feel his mind is made up.
“I can possibly understand it, and if it does happen – although it is not a done and dusted deal as everyone seems to think – we’ll wish him all the best and thank him for what he has done for us.”
Lennon wants Stokes and one other striker to add more firepower to his squad, and Hapoel’s Shechter is also still in his sights.
The player’s agent, Dudu Dahan – who was responsible for arranging Beram Kayal’s move to Parkhead – confirmed: “Celtic have done all they can in terms of money to land Itay. But Hapoel have the idea Schechter’s value could rise if he plays in the Champions League.”
Lennon has other options, and these include a late bid for Robbie Keane.
With the Premiership transfer window due to close at 6pm tomorrow, and the SPL window remaining open until midnight, a similar scenario to the one which played out in January could unfold.
Then, after Keane found that all options in the top flight in England had gone, he turned his attention to the offer of a loan to Celtic, and made an eleventh-hour dash north to join Tony Mowbray’s side.
Just like then, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has poured cold water on the idea of the Republic of Ireland star being allowed to leave.
Redknapp said: “I wouldn’t accept an offer for Robbie. We haven’t got anybody else. I couldn’t afford to let him go. He will get games for us, I am sure.”
Lennon also wants to bolster his defence, and Nottingham Forest’s Kelvin Wilson remains the man he wants, if the Championship club can be persuaded to let him go for less than £2m.

I don't think there are any circumstances in which Robbie Keane will end up at Celtic during this transfer window. Except for the possibility that Spurs want him off the books, for the wages savings and the 25 rule

Cant see the keane thing happening but i would be delighted if another centre half joined, although going by what people are saying( other forums) the boy wilson might not be the answer, not long to go before we find out !

It is being reported that Robbie would prefer to remain in North London and fight for his place in the Spurs side, rather than going out on loan to Newcastle United.
Initial talks have already taken place between officials at St James’ Park and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, with Newcastle proposing a one-year loan deal, with a view to a permanent transfer next summer for around £6M.
The 30-year-old has already gone out on loan to Celtic during the second half of last season, and it appears he doesn’t want to go out on loan again.
It seems that if Robbie leaves Spurs he would want it to be a permanent move, and this may even be a ploy to try to get Newcastle to make the deal permanent, but the Tyneside club will hardly want to pay out £75K/week wages to Robbie

I agree CBC I have a feeling Celtic are saving the best till the last minute. Although herring 'Fd' out of Europe early may put a dampener on it

I think as long as the deal was started before the 6 pm deadline they can still continue with it, transfers in or out, but they can't start anything afterwards. Robbie Keane talks started before the last deadline ended that is why we got him.
