20k a week is what the rags are reporting and might not be even near what we'd have to pay. Even if it did cost us around a million for a one year stay i think it would be worth the outlay. I have watched Wilson a couple of times since we were linked with him and he's been less than impressive, that could just have been coincidence that i seen the worst of him and it is still early in the season. Lenny has played with the guy so he'll know better than most what the guy is like

Former Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Shittu cost the club a cool £160,000 a game in his time at the Reebok Stadium.
The Bolton News bases the figure on the 12 appearances he made in his two years with the club after his £2 million arrival from Watford in August 2008.
With 12 months remaining on his contract, the club decided to to pay off the Nigerian.
He is currently considering an offer from SPL giants Celtic FC after Wanderers agreed to terminate his contract

Not played for a year? Risky...
Let's give him a chance on trial at least, can't be worse than Glenda.

I'm on record as preferring Jay Demerit, more reliable plus he didn't spend all last season on the bench.
Hey, what do I know

If we give him a trial and like the look of him then let's go for it, provided he doesn't ask for stupid wages - I'm still concerned about our centre back lineup, some who seem overly prone to injuries and some who are frequently calamitous. Wish we'd got Yobo - he's an excellent player who would die for the team.

I'd give Danny a chance if he wants to prove himself. A short term contract with an option at the end of it. Bolton fans on BBC saying it was the best bit of business they done in the transfer-window was getting rid of him of there wage bill...that frightens me a bit. I'm sure Lenny would be giving Owen Coyle at Bolton a call to get low down on him too.

The Ultima Hora paper had this about Ramis at end of August
Basically it says that they knocked back an offer of 1.3 M euros from Espanyol and have made him an offer to stay. He hasn´t responded to the offer. His contract is up 30th June next year.
To me it looks as if he will sign a pre contract with someone in January. Sevilla and Espanyol were both interested in him.

Apparently Shittu has turned down a chance of a trial to prove his fitness.

According to reports former Bolton Wanderers centre-back Danny Shittu is ready to scupper a potential move to Celtic FC.
Express Sport claims the SPL giants want the Nigerian to have a trial to prove his fitness.
However, it is understood that Shittu is unhappy with this request, believing his record negates the need for it.
The former QPR and Watford defender also has other options in the Championship, as well as interested from Middle east club Al-Ahli, who are managed by David O'Leary.
A player not as big as he thinks he is. Obvioulsy knows nothing about Celtic, his loss
