Kieron Westwood on a pre contract for the summer.
I'd also be looking to spend a chunk of that money on a centerback with some composure and pace to burn.
Maybe pick up some cover at fullback.
Unless we some how end up struggling in the league by January I wouldn't be tempted to change too much. It's been a tumultuous couple of seasons just gone, and a little stability couldn't hurt.

A centre half and a goalie, without a doubt.

I think the team is good enough in the SPL. Well good enough against all the provincial clubs. Our first real test will be when we play Rangers. That will tell me if we are good enough or need strengthened.

You will be surprised to hear me say,a CH,with some pace.We should be scouring the markets at the moment.I know we have only lost 1 goal, but I really do think the standard of opposition has dropped.Look at Dundee U,a shadow,Hibs, rubbish, the rest, well.I dont want to face the huns with Loovens, but I fear we will. The rest of the pool is excellent, great cover all over the park.Just a CH please.

The team will always need strengthened, it's a never-ending task, a bit like painting the Forth Bridge. If we won the Champions league we'd still be looking to strengthen and that's how it should be. (and we'd probably still have folk complaining that one or two of the CL-winning team were pish anyway )

I am surprised to hear people saying we need a goalkeeper. I think Forster has done extremely well so far.
For me the priority is to bring in a centre half to play alongside Dan.
We have one in Rogne but he will have to prove his fitness.

I'm afraid I have to say we should wait until january to see how this squad are doing. Planning to spend money just now seems a bit strange to me. We could still be winning all of our games, still be scoring goals, still not be losing many. Why would we muckabout with the team if that were the case. Why would we spend money that's hard come by if we were in that position.
We need to see how the team is doing and what injuries we pick up between now and then. Then we can decide if we need to spend money, and on what positions.

Gerry, we could wait until the ice-cap melts ...... loovens will never be a centre half !! I agree, but we also have Rogne and Hooiveld. If both of them are back fit and playing well we will have two CBs available. I think playing alongside big Dan would bring Rogne on, he looked decent when he played before. If we have two regulars and back-up then we might not need to invest in another CB. I believe that Cha has also played there and we have Juarez and Wilson who can cover right back if required. I'm just saying we don't know what we will need come January.

If not then we will get someone else mate. I agree about Loovens. He has been so disappointing.

Another centre 'alf like big Maj would effectively sort out whole defence and be a brick wall. Izzy and Cha look solid enough, and they are supplying dangerous chances for the strikers. Maj speaks for himself. But big Glenda Loovens... He's gash. New CB and a new GK if Forster is recalled. I can't think of any other part of the team that needs improving par maybe the RB. But getting a new RB wouldn't be a necessity of any kind.

No worries about the side on the whole, but god do we need to get Loovens out the side,he is our weakest link,a huge gaiping hole at the back, I dont make a habit of slagging CELTIC players, but this side has a real future,Loovans im afraid only has a past.

Would like to see a goalie , CH and a versatile defender who is comfortable all along the back line. John O'shea will do ;D

we need a quality center half, the midfield is fine and the strikers are coming together and will only get better, the defence is weak still and other teams can that, cha at right back is dodgy as well, not much needs to be improved. wont cost us a fortune as the team we have is relativly young.
