Could be good news for our title bid I suppose, google translation follows:
MEXICO CITY-(21/SEP/2010) .- Carlos Vela, Arsenal's English, and Efrain Juarez, Celtic, can not wear the shirt of the national team for six months after the investigation that was conducted by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) on the party that was held in Monterrey after the match against Colombia in the past 7 September.
The research showed that players were also involved Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco "Maza" Rodríguez, Andrés Guardado, Gerardo Torrado, Pablo Barrera, Javier "Chicharito Hernandez, Rafael Marquez, Hector Moreno, Enrique Esqueda and Giovani dos Santos, and were therefore fined 50,000 pesos.
Néstor de la Torre, General Manager of National Teams, announced this in a press conference in the premises of the High Performance Centre (CAR).
That was the conclusion reached by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) with respect to the party who had the most members of the Tricolor after the game last September 7 in the city of Monterrey to the representation of Colombia.

From 'Goal' America: www.goal.com/en-us/news/1917/mexican-national-team/2010/09/21/2130206/carlos-vela-efrain-juarez-suspended-from-tricolor-for-sixCarlos Vela, Efrain Juarez Suspended From Tricolor For Six Months Mexico players Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez broke four rules of conduct and were subsequently fined and suspended. Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez were suspended for six months by the Mexican Football Federation and fined $50,000 pesos after the due broke some rules of conduct following a friendly against Colombia in Monterrey earlier this month. FMF executive Nestor De La Torre announced the actions on Tuesday. Other players were involved in the after-hours incidents in Monterrey and were fined but only Vela and Juarez were slapped with suspensions. Vela, who plays for Arsenal in England, and Juarez, of Scottish side Celtic, broke four rules of conduct while their fellow Tricolor teammates broke only one, De La Torre said. Also receiving fines were Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Andres Guardado, Gerardo Torrado, Pablo Barrera, Giovani dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Rafael Marquez, Enrique Esqueda and Hector Moreno. The fines amount to roughly $4,000 USD. Mexico beat Colombia 1-0 in Monterrey as part of the nation's Bicentennial celebrations. Vela and Juarez will be unable to play for Mexico until mid-March if the suspensions hold. Mexico has at least one match in that span as El Tri will play a friendly in early February, during the first of FIFA's international fixture dates of 2011.

Mexico have a friendly next month too according to FIFA, so it's good we won't lose him for either of those games.

Good news for us indeed. Seems like Juarez and Vela are taking most of the flak looking at the other squad members that were in attendence.
What a shame ;D

Totally great news for us.Seems strange though, they had a party after the game, which was a friendly!!!,and got banned.Obviously the powers that be have forgotten what Mexican women look like, and how good Tequila is.I would have taken a ban as well. I think it was the transvestite that threw the cat amongst the pigeons. Mexico stars hire vice girls, transvestite for party Mexico's national team soccer stars are at the center of a vice probe amid claims that they hired 14 hookers and a transvestite for a wild after-match party. Premier League stars Carlos Vela and Carlos Salcido celebrated with Mexico teammates at their squad's hotel following their 1-0 friendly win over Colombia last week. However the Mexican FA has been forced to investigate newspaper and internet reports that vice girls joined the early-hours celebrations. Efrain Juarez and Carlos Vela, the Mexican national team players will be suspended six months by the party that took the Tri after the match against Colombia in Monterrey Google translation from 'La Aficion' the Mexican newspaper who broke the story:MEXICO CITY (September 21) .- After the Mexican national team players are seen mixed up in a party with prostitutes and 'transvestite' included after the friendly against Colombia last September 7 in Monterrey, punishment were present. Néstor de la Torre, director of national teams, announced that players Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco 'Maza' Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Andres Guardado, Pablo Barrera, Giovani dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Rafael Marquez, Enrique Moreno and Hector Esqueda will 50 000 pesos fined for committing various violations of the rules of national teams. However, the greatest punishment was to Efrain Juarez and Carlos Vela, who will have a six-month suspension. As sections of the Tri shall from this day. Juarez and Vela were awarded a penalty higher than the rest of his teammates because they violated four sections of the Rules of Procedure (see Annex). "I talked with the players is, in many cases accepted and others mentioned some concerns," said De la Torre. The money from the fines of players will be selected to benefit those affected by Hurricane Karl in the state of Veracruz, and a charitable institution to be defined in Ciudad Juárez. Nestor said the investigations were made with personal testimonies of the Camino Real hotel and hotel management. In addition, De la Torre said that he can not confirm the presence of prostitutes and simply sticks to what he can secure. From today's Evening Times:
Ban Bhoy Efrain Juarez in Parkhead vow
by Thomas Jordan
Efrain Juarez hopes he can force his way back into Neil Lennon’s starting line-up after being banned from playing for Mexico for six months.
The midfielder lost his place in the Celtic first XI because of the gruelling trips he has been forced to make to and from his homeland to fulfil international commitments.
But it has been reported Juarez and Arsenal striker Carlos Vela have been found guilty of breaking the Mexican Football Federation’s rule of conduct after allegedly partying following the 1-0 victory over Colombia.
It’s believed both players were issued with fines and told they will not be considered for selection until mid-March and that will now allow Juarez to focus on his Hoops career and making a big impact at Parkhead.
“It was a friendly match but the celebration was for Independence Day in Mexico,” said Juarez. “It’s a big celebration there as it’s a big day for the whole country.
“Everyone in Mexico knows of Celtic as the club is a big club and often the games are on TV. It’s always good to return back to your town, but I like to stay here in Glasgow and play football with Celtic.
“I want to play for the team all the time as all football players want to play, but because of the national team and all the travelling, you know it can be more difficult.
“However, now this week I am starting my life in Glasgow, am happy and now I want to play but the final decision is always down to the coach. So I will work hard in training.”
And Juarez is hoping English lessons will help him communicate better with his new team-mates and lead to even better displays from a player who has already impressed and excited the Celtic supporters.
Speaking in the Celtic View, he said: “I understand everything but my English speaking is not so good so I am taking English lessons.
“It helps that Marc Crosas is here because he speaks Spanish
“But I’m enjoying it here. When you enjoy your work and you stay in a place you are happy in then it makes you smile. I love my life in Glasgow.”
Celtic go into tonight’s Co-operative Insurance Cup clash with Caley Thistle without the services of Scott Brown, James Forrest and Paddy McCourt through injury.

Maybe its also been a contributing factor as to why Lenny has left him out of the starting line up lately. Maybe he also broke our rules on conduct.

Maybe its also been a contributing factor as to why Lenny has left him out of the starting line up lately. Maybe he also broke our rules on conduct. Or maybe he has been tired and not able to train properly with all of the travelling. That won't be the case now, or for the next 6 months.
