Reading the Daily Record Football pull out I found this. Somebody had written in regarding the Celtic and Rangers in the Champions League. This is when they have qualified for the group stages.
Rangers have finished 9 attempts with 49 points. Celtic have finished 6 attempts with 44 points. Rangers have finished bottom of their group 4 times to Celtic's 2 times.
This goes to show even with a bad away record we still are better in Europe than them.

And in comparison, how many times have they played Barcelona, Man Ure or AC Milan, when did we ever get the chance to play FC Urine or the like, we always seemed to draw the groups of death, or am I imagining it.

If you look at the EUFA website and look at the CL winners or finalists you will find that more often than not they came from the group Celtic were in, and we usually alway were drawn against the previous year or two's winners. So no you are not imagining it. Hail Hail

Can I add to this the amount of major hammerings they have had over the years in the CL. What is our worsed score? Off the top of my head 3-0 to Porto away and Manchester United away. They have been humped at home conceding 4 a few times yet we have conceded 3, I think, twice against Barca and Juve who we put 4 past in the same game.

You are all missing the point here, the two points they won last season were glorious points won, battling against the odds to secure the points,we on the other hand were just lucky to get anything playing crap,at least that will be the view of the rankers rags.

I can remember some glorious spankings they took in the 60s.Believe it or not,I used to go to the European games with my wee gers mate, stayed in Govan, went up and got a lift over.6-0 down to Eintracht away, they went 2-0 up very early, they were goink berserk,Eintracht scored another 6!!!.Real Madrid,1-0 at Ibrox,6-0,in Madrid.Spurs,8-2 aggregate.More recently,8-1 against Juve.Thats what I call great european nights.
