Is Lenny giving himself a headache with our ever increasing squad? I see he's in the market for a young Mexican striker as well as Winchester, we have more midfielders than the rest of the SPL put together!! It will be a difficult task to keep everyone happy, especially as we have no European football this season, we need continuity and not a repeat of last season, wholesale changes in January are not required or desired. Whilst agreeing we do need a 'fox in the box striker' I would prefer it if we got a settled 11 and a bit of continuity, no goals conceded yet in the SPL so the defence is starting to shape up, just more goals from the strikers required.

These young guys are likely going into the development squad mate not the 1st team squad.

We do have an abundance of midfielders though. We could do with off loading 1 or 2 in January if the money is right.

I think that he's willing to bring in more players than he knows he needs with the expectation that January will see more players leaving than arriving. However, injuries will have a say in the matter as well. I don't have a problem with the squad size right now.

The guys who are coming in now are not ready for the 1st team, they will be youth or reserve players at most for a while yet.

I don't want anyone thinking they just have to turn up at training to get a game. That leads to complacency and lack of effort. A decent first team squad and a decent development squad are essential in my opinion. That means quality and quantity. It means cover for injusry and suspension and it means competition for places.

Never to many players to pick from mate,at least we have a few options for midfield now, strikers getting things going and the defence are beginning to gel together....

Absolutely, it's when injuries and suspensions kick in that we will really see the value of a decent sized squad. Outside of their top 11 the hun don't really have much at all, we have players fighting for places.
