Forster - Wasn't overly troubled (besides the goal), had no problems with crosses and did his job when he needed to. Cha - Put some good balls into the box and supported the attack well. Made one excellect challenge to bail dozy Loovens out. Otherwise he wasn't trouble too much defensively. Was unlucky when he hit the bar. Loovens - Pish. Goes to sleep too often at crucial moments. Needs to be gone ASAP. Majstorovic - Rock solid. If it wasn't for him we might well have not got 3 points today. Did well when he took the armband off of Brown as well. However was very frustrating when he was resorting to playing keepball and passing it along the backline. Overcooked some of his passes on a bumpy surface. Izzy - Brilliant again. Defended well and supplied good crosses for the strikers. Shame we couldn't capitalise on every good ball he put in. We would have won about 5-1. Ledley - Still waiting to see what all the hype is about, really. Did an ok job but nothing ground breaking. Being all left footed is a bit of a problem with Joe, IMO. Kayal - Love this guy. Maybe got a bit too involved at times with back chat to the referee and some of his challenges were a bit cynical however a good shift. Did what good defensive midfielders do, get in about the opposition. Brown - Wasn't really doing anything up until the injury. Blessing in disguise that he went off, IMO. McCourt - Couldn't really get started in the game. Maybe we were depending on him a bit too much as it seemed we kept passing to him. Killie double up on him and he wasn't having the best of days. Him getting injured benefited us in the end. Maloney - A bit 50/50 today. Did very well in places then other times it was a slack pass or he'd weave his way into the box and go nowhere with it. Corner deliveries were woeful. Murphy - Scored another cooly taken penalty and won a lot of high balls however his knockdowns left a lot to be desired. Can't really fault him as he contributed to the win. At this stage, still don't know what we're going to get out of him over the coming season. Subs: Ki - Nothing of note. Came on for Kayal before Kayal maybe got sent off seeing as he was throwing himself about a bit. Juarez - Lively, in about them, looking to get forward and create. A lot more than what Brown contributed anyway. Stokes - A striker who poaches a goal!? Ain't seen one of those at Celtic in a long time. Should have scored more than one though but his work rate today was good. Got in about Killie and chased a lot of balls. Bit of a high stud, wreckless challenge on Jamie Hammill at one point, referee could have easily flashed a red card there.

Paddy's tender as a Rose........ I was saying that earlier mate. Brilliant player but seems about as robust as a wee china doll.

Another good away win at what is sometimes a difficult ground. 3 good away wins in the first 5 games with 100% record. We can continue to progress and go forward with a good result against Inverness in the CIS Cup on Wednesday night. I'm not terribly fussed about that if I'm honest. Obviously I want to win it, I want to win every game we play in, but the cups, especially this one, are of secondary importance at best. Most years I would agree with you about the CIS Cup but this season is different for me. Lennon needs domestic success to calm everyone's nerves and if we crash out on Wednesday the cybertownsfolk will have the pitchforks and knives out. A treble would be just what the doctor ordered.

I thought Ledley was terrifc today, i just think people are looking for the wrong things and i'm not being disrespectful when i say this, but its Lennon syndrome. How many people thought Lenny was pish until they understood what his job on the park was. Ledley intercepts passes all day long with his reading of the game, in fact he makes it look like the opposition have played a bad pass, because he's onto it so easily, he also plays the ball around simply and doesn't give it away very often. He can also tackle, win headers and gets in the box, but because he's not playing 25-30 yard passes people don't notice his contribution....just my opinion mind

Ledley is one off those players that look dead cumbersome to me, but still does whats required off him, mind you Lenny was cumbersome as well. Thought Stokes made their defence work a heel off a lot harder, Killie were getting away with wee kicks here and there all day, so I'll not complain about Stoksie going in hard, a good 3 points, this was a tricky game. Defence is still pretty shooglie at times though. Hail Hail

a hard fought win today not good for the heart tho, killie tactics were so frustraiting after they went ahead but stokes did well when he came on to win penetly then score winner wee emilio was brilliant but big loovens is a nightmare get big rogne in ther. I dont like seeing players getin injured but it was a blessing when brown went off he really contributes nothing, a good hard 3 points

I can't believe nobody else is talking of Paddys fragility.
He gets 'Whiplash' from our smallest player running in to him a wee bit, then he goes down today and bangs his shudder a wee bit and needs stretchered off, won't carry on..... Whit's going on there...? He's a skillful fairy to me

ledley is like the quiet man simple passes and good tackles but sometimes he is to quiet as like today a rite few times when we were on the attack and ledley would be in space or a good posistion for a pass and it just looked like he never shouts for the ball or go lookin for the pass, am I imagining that or what?

I guess we will get games like this through the season but as long as we get the win and the three points at the end of the day I will be happy

I had Joe Ledley as my MOTH today....and I was raving about him in the Hearts game too. Efficient and effective, just what we need as we settle into this season. Oh, and Stokes MUST start, NOT Paddy....and certainly NOT Loovens....

I also think Ledley is a good player, I've always had time for players who do simple things well, who find space, and who make themselves available for others. Nothing spectacular, just the simple things done in an effective way. Just like Neil Lennon was, only Ledley can run as well, oh and shoot.

I dont know exactly what the possession percentage was but I believe it was very much in favour of Celtic, yet it was a bloody struggle, the passing was terrible, there is no bite up the middle, Murphy appears to be a bit of a cairthorse in movement, not much of a combiner in todays game. The Celtic official website gave the MOTM to Stokes I think that was Laura somebody`s pick, most certainly cannae see that. Feel real sorry for McCourt, he is a fitba player yet the firsts 5 times he had the baw he did absolutely nothing, believe me go look. Hope his shoulder injury is not a bad one he had to come off about 20 minutes into the game. Scott Brown at the start got the baw oot on the right, and took off at high speed heading towards the byline, and thats where he ended up oot the park. LMAO Another time not too long after that Brown played a long baw up the middle, it went straight to a Killie player and within a minute Killie went doon the park and scored, if you dont believe me go look again. I dont know what kind of a sense of humour Neil Lennon has, but to continue to play the imposter Brown is not funny! That right back Cha doesnt do it for me, when is Hinkle coming back? Last season I would often hear or read rather fans saying the coach cannae go on the park and play for the players, and there is an element of truth in that fitba lingo wise, and the same can be said about Celtic today, Lenny cannae go oot there and kick the baw for them, but I am going to strongly say Neil Lennon your in charge and yes you have won every league game with Celtic but the way you have that team playing is not verygood, and you will have one helluva hard time beating Walter Smith and Rangers, and I honestly cant see it any other way, and I included all cup games you have been in charge at Celtic too! For MOTM I think its between Ledley and Izaguerra, with Ledley for me getting the slight edge.
Forster 6.5 Cha 6 Majstorovic 6 Loovens 6 Izaguerra 7 Maloney 6.5 Kayal 6.5 Ledley 7 Brown 5.5 McCourt 5.5 Murphy 6

I finished watching the full 90 about a hour ago.
We controlled the majority of that game.
Ledley ran the show in midfield. A cracking performance.
Izza was superb again.
The motm for me however was big Dan. He strolled through the match. Get Rogne in beside him now.

The people who were on before the match, saying we should keep an unchanged defence, hope you have changed your mind.I have said from day one that Loovens is useless. Not even looking in the same direction as the ball or Samon today.Believe me,if he plays against Miller he will roast him.Is anybody looking forward to that scenario?Today we had 65% of the ball, and did virtually nothing with it.How many passes do we need to go forward.?We passed the ball to death today, ran out of ideas, then stupidly misplaced passes, which could have cost us 2 points.Sloppy is too soft a word. The 3 points were great, and great performances from,Izzy,Ledley,Kayal,Danny.Thought Suarez looked a bit lost when he came on,needs matches is all,and will get more assertive. We need to be sharper, and more direct, but mostly we MUST replace Loovens. He will cost us dear.Lastly, when is the last time we played really well in these away strips.?
