ANTHONY Stokes last night insisted he can help fire Celtic to a domestic clean sweep.
The life-long Parkhead fan is counting down the hours to his dream debut against Hearts tomorrow - almost two weeks after sealing his £1.2 million move from Hibs.
But even before he kicks his first ball for the club the ambitious Irishman is convinced he has signed up for a first season treble with Neil Lennon's side.
He said: "Celtic mean a lot to me because I have supported them all my life - but I want to do it for myself and for the manager.
"Yes, it's brilliant to come here as a supporter but I want to win as much as I can with them because - with the squad we have, we can win EVERYTHING this year.
"People might think that's asking too much too soon from a new team but I don't agree. We have to try to win the lot - it's as simple as that.
"We can't just say we'd be happy with the league because if we win the league why shouldn't we go on and win the cups? "It's going to be tough but we have a big squad and a lot of very good players so, in my opinion, we should go out to try to win everything.
"I don't think the Treble is too far fetched. The team has won the first three games. There are so many new players here the team is only going to get better as we go on.
"The results have not reflected how dominant Celtic have been. Even the 1-0 win over Motherwell could have been four or five.
"But five games down the line we're going to be even better."
Stokes became Lennon's 11th summer signing when he clinched his deadline day move.
And the 22-year-old insists he is mentally strong enough to cope with the pressure of delivering on his promises.
He added: "Last season at Hibs after six months I thought we could have a right go and be there or thereabouts at the end.
"But Hibs are not at that highest level yet. When we fell away towards the end of the season, people kind of expected that.
"Here, lose one match and people are down on you like a ton of bricks. But with the players we have, and the money we've spent, you have to accept that." .........................................................................................
can we?

I think we can as long as we don't start shipping cheap goals, like we have done in the past few years. Although I'm not too bothered about the cups as winning the league is the absolute #1 priority.
Infact, for me, if we won 2 cups, yet lost the league, it would be a near disaster.

We can, but one step at atime. Lets keep winning and build some chemistry before the huns game. Is it at ipox or CP?

I think the first game is at Parkhead. We can win the treble as long as we get a settled side quickle, Lenny must get his best 11 and stick with them.

Very well Mr Stokes I happen to agree with you it is a possibility given that we are still in all 3 competitions. However it is up to you and the rest of the squad to deliver for the Club, the manager and the fans. Lets get down to business. Hail Hail

Nope, our team is even poorer than pre MoN and that included the three Amigos. Couldn,t guarantee we,ll win anything. Dangerous times if we don,t.

I think the majority of celtic fans just want to see us winning back the SPL Title fae the huns, the fact we let them win it for the past two years is just criminal, a scottish cup win and a cis win would be a bonus BUT please just win the TITLE
Hail Hail

Might be worth pointing out we have only won the treble 3 times in our history. 67 and 69 by the greatest team Scotland has ever saw and 2001 with the King in the team.

Glasgow Celtic FC Honours League Titles Division 1: 1893, 1894, 1896, 1898, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1922, 1926, 1936, 1938, 1954, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1977, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1988, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 FA Cup Winners: 1892, 1899, 1900, 1904, 1907, 1908, 1911, 1912, 1914, 1923, 1925, 1927, 1931, 1933, 1937, 1951, 1954, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1995, 2001, 2004, 2005 Europe European Cup: (1) 1967. I think it's unlikely we'll bag the treble this season. I'm still not convinced Lennon knows what to do when the chips are down, so in a knock out competition when you get one chance and that's it we might come unstuck.
The league is the priority anyway, I'd grudgingly give up the two cups for that.

Of course we can. Celtic will gel nicely, and lets be honest, the huns are shyte. They will get ripped a new arse in the CL, and will have no bottle to carry on. I want to put as must misery on that rat infested shower of shyte as we can.
Celtic Forever!!!!!!!

We had already played in the final of the league cup, December 1973 during the power cuts, against Dundee losing 1-0. A couple of thousand of us in the sleet drenched Celtic end fought the polis hand to hand to get over the fence ( the polis were at one side - us at the other) into the North Enclosure and that poxy wee bit of cover under the North Stand. The polis won btw. You win a treble in a season admin not a year.
