Lennon looking to kick on
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has welcomed the closure of the transfer window as he can now focus his full attention on generating results.
A summer of sweeping change has seen 11 fresh faces make their way to Parkhead, while several senior stars have been moved out.
The comings and goings required Lennon to juggle his priorities at times, with it vital to get new talent in but also essential to keep those already at the club happy.
He appears to have struck the right chord, as the Hoops have made a perfect opening to the 2010/11 SPL season.
Lennon is, however, relieved to be able to put acquisition duties to one side and turn his focus to knitting together a much-altered squad.
He told the Celtic View: "I'm pleased it's all over because we can settle things down and we know we're working with a group of players that isn't going to chop and change again until January.
"It's a young squad, it's a hungry squad, and it's all about managing that the right way.
"There have been quite a lot of changes but we just felt it needed doing and I'm pleased with the players who have come in.
"I think they will improve us." Movement
One of the many changes at Celtic saw highly-rated winger Aiden McGeady offloaded to Spartak Moscow for £9.5million, but experienced defender Glenn Loovens is confident the impact of a busy summer will be positive.
The Dutchman told the Celtic View: "We didn't have a good season last year so you know there are going to be players moving in and out.
"That's normal at a big club like Celtic.
"It keeps you sharp and on your toes and you just have to make sure you are on top of your game in every match as, if you're not, there are a few players who could get in the team no problem."

" Aw naw! We're going to chop and change again in January? Ffs! But, seriously, I hope by the time we get to January we'll be on such a run of form that only a little fine tuning will be required.

Totally agree mik, and I think it's a distinct possibility.
Just keep doing what we are doing, 3 games, 3 wins, 6 goals for, no goals against.
More of the same please Neil.

Neil knows what it is all about, what it means to us and how to go about it. Hope to see the results on the field

I suspect that means he adds what is needed for the stretch run and unloads deadwood
