www.teamtalk.com/celtic/6363590/Hooper-hopeful-of-making-Hearts-game?Celtic striker Gary Hooper hopes to make his SPL debut against Hearts at Parkhead on Saturday after returning to training following an injury. Hooper tore a calf muscle following a collision in a pre-season friendly against Blackburn. The summer signing from Scunthorpe has stepped up his rehabilitation this week, though, and hopes to feature at the weekend. Hooper, who scored against Braga on his competitive debut, told the The Huddle Online: "I'm hoping to be ready for the Hearts game. "I have been in every day except Sundays getting a massage and getting the legs going. "I have now done some running and strength work and ball work outside. "The international break has done me a favour because I don't miss another game. I will hopefully train with the squad towards the end of the week and be involved in the Hearts game." Hopefully it's time for the bhoy's Celtic career to start in earnest.

I hope we don't rush him back to soon, put him on the bench and give him the last 10-15 mins We should have enough in the squad to beat hearts without risking him

Agreed not too rushed.
I would imagine he will come on as a sub.

There's no need to rush him back with Stokes available, I agree with giving him the last 20 minutes or so.

Don't want him out for the season, but would love to see him bang in a few. He seems very confident in front of goal, if not so much outside the box. If we have 2 strikers this year that actually spend a little time in and around the box (Hooper and Stokes) as oppsed to out of the wing (sammy and fortune) like last year the goals will come much more easily.

Eiher way CC, what's important is that he gets match time, but doesn't necessarily need to play the full 90.
