Funny how you think of things....I always call the ground Celtic Park..always have.....so many memories...... meeting up under the big floodlight pylon at the right hand side of the Celtic end...before heading to the Jungle....... watching the lighters and matches "sparkling" in the dark at a mid-week game...before the fag ends glowed in the dark.... "Here za Macaroon Bars....here za Spearmint chewing gum"...... me and the mate meeting two burds in the London Road one night walking up to the game....detour round the back-court....missed the first half....( aye ...ah wiz that good !!)............ peein' into your McEwan's screwtap bottle ..and pouring it into the ash terracing... MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS>...............

As someone who has been away a long time i have obviously been to more games in the old stadium than the new one. The new stadium is impressive but has no atmosphere compared to the old one. What i would give to go into the old stadium just one more time.....priceless, i absolutely loved it, and talking about midweek floodlit games, i haven't done that in years and reading this thread has made me think that is what i will do next time...come up for a midweek game

I was there for Jinky's first game, I thought he was the boybhoy, his sleeves were far too long. But as Celtic and time shows, the jersey fitted perfect. Hail ! Hail !

does anybody mind the wee wummin wa the flowers in her hair and wee celtic teddy bear that used to go home and away with her man .. use to see her everywhere in the late 80s early 90s up to the about 2000 . Her name was/is Betty Geddes. She stayed in Penilee and went on the bus that picked up supporters at the Argosy bar on Paisley Road West. I haven't seen her for a number of years. Her and her husband went everywhere to watch Celtic. She did stand exactly where you suggested Pat.
