Boy didnt get a chance and now wants to move on. Good luck to him, he will never forget the Hoops and will tell players he meets in other teams all about Celtic.

Samaras survived because he's been one of our best players pre-season, and in the first games. If he wasn't that good why wasn't Murphy put in instead. Back on subject, Ki described himself as a Korean Gerrard, but I've yet to see him make a tackle, he has to toughen up for the SPL. He has undoubtably got talent but SPL is very different from Korean league.

Samaras survived because there was no concrete bid for him, it didnt matter how well he played pre-season.
Fortune played well pre-season and also the games before we sold him.

Im pretty sure Ki would turn out to be a good player for us.
We need to give the guy a chance, hes only had bit parts to play so far,
he needs a decent run of games before we can judge him.

We neen to give the guy a chance, hes only had bit parts to play so far, he needs a decent run of games before we can judge him. first and foremost we need a settled side, i dont think he will be part of that, if and when he comes on as a sub then he must give his best, he scored a cracker v st mirren and a bit more of that should help him push for a starting place.

I totally agree on the settled side part, I think that is now essential. I also don't think that Ki is one of our starting 11 so he really has to accept that and make sure that he gets a chance as a sub. When he does get that chance he needs to show just what he can do. If he isn't willing to do those things then he really isn't for us.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to express it so long as they do it in a reasonable manner. Name calling and abuse will not be allowed, debating will. There's a famous "quote" attributed to Voltaire which goes "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I firmly believe in that. However what I also believe is that people are entitled to be treated with respect. Name calling and abuse is not respectful.

at times he looks good but in general, especially when he has started a game, have found him to be very average. also thought he had a very average world cup despite the scottish press saying he 'starred'

I know the Korean press and the official FIFA site enthused about him and the Scottish press re-printed some of those reports. I might have missed it but I can't recall any Scottish hack praising him in their own words.

I feel he is just not suited to Scottish football. He doesn't perform consistently when given the chance. But you could say the same thing of most in the Scots in the SPL too. How consistently good are they? If Lennon wants him to play holding midfielder then that is a mistake. Nakamura couldn't defend either but we loved him. If Naka couldn't bury a free kick once in a while, the chorus of disapproval on him would have been louder. Ki may think he is like Gerrard but he doesn't have the physical presence of Stevie G. Ki is a winger

Anyone who can shoot and score into the postage stamp like he did v's St Mirren is worth keeping in any capacity. It is a little concerning the way Lenny highlights his bad points (if true). Surely you need to give your players all the confidence through ecouragement.
