...I have always said, and stick by it. The CEO and board should run the Club. The Manager should run the Team... That's how I see it. The only other thing that I would like to add is that I think that the CEO's compensation should be based on a combination of on and off the pitch performance incentives.

lawwell by a country mile Do you really think Neil Lennon is on a lot less than £10k a week plus bonuses. I would have thought it was more than that. No idea though, I'll take your word for it. As to the rest of the board. They get around 25k, with the Chairman getting about 50k a year, hardly massive sums. I think Dermot Desmond got about 10k last year. If people really think that "the suits" are bleeding the club dry fair enough. However the fact is that someone like Samaras probably gets more in a fortnight than they get in a year. i dont think for a minute the suits are bleeding us dry victor , id immagine pl is the only suit on this kind of cash , and to be honest he is only following the instructions of the board or dermot , and im sure hes a fine executive , however he has failed miserably in the past few seasons , yet his bonuses have increased , which is kind of wrong imo

PL has been rewarded for failure. I said some time ago in the other place that I felt he should not have received a bonus this year. It seems to me the method of setting targets and calculating his bonus is flawed, which is not his fault.

Not sure if they are responsible for the CEO's bonus but it would be a decent place to start. Remuneration Committee The Remuneration Committee is chaired by Tom Allison. The other members are Brian Wilson and Dr John Reid. The Remuneration Committee determines the terms of engagement and remuneration of the Company's executive Directors, Company Secretary and certain senior executives, on behalf of the Board. The Committee also monitors the Company's executive share option scheme and implementation of other executive and employee incentive schemes. A detailed report is included within the Annual Report.
