I reckon the problem is on my side. I made some changes when this site was always crashing for me a while back. I intend to resolve this as I lost my smille option too.

I have just installed a script blocking extension (noscript) for Firefox and I blocked this website from scripting, so now when I click the back button, the crash doesn't happen but you lose smiley icons.
I googled netbios and apparently it is a file sharing protocol, so it makes me wonder why the site is trying to make a file share connection to my computer.

This is a recent problem. It happened with Firefox 3.6, so I installed 4.0, same issue. Been using this site flawless for a while. No other problem on any website on the Internet, just here. A quick Google about this issue brings up lots of posts about the forum host (proboards) pumping out viruses through its adverts. I think I'll leave scripting disabled until it goes away. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. Proboards do not pump viruses out through its adverts although on occasion an advert can flag up a whats known as a false positive from your anti virus when this happens proboards disable all adverts across all forums until the antivirus companies can release the patch to resolve the issue . See below for proboards policy on adverts : support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support&action=display&thread=384323
