Rangers will struggle to cope with injuries and suspensions this season. They're squad is very short on numbers. But I agree they still have a decent spine. I too am sick of the quality over quantity line. The vast majority of our signings are experienced internationalists. In the league we have looked solid. I am confident that we have a strong enough side to win the spl. Totally agreed, quality over quantity my aris. Jelavic, might be decent but is not exactly a prolific scorer in the league. 2 (and a wee bit) seasons at Rabid, 70 league appearance, 25 goals. That's a 35% hit rate, which is a wee bit better than Fortune (31%) and a wee bit worse than Samaras (37%). That's their SPL figures. Is the Austrian league really that much better than the SPL. Beattie is well past his best and has barely played in a season. Weiss is a promising young player, albeit basically a Bolton substitute, another one who may be decent, we have Forrest who is every bit as good a prospect. So where is this quality over quantity nonsense coming from. "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

Being neutral, Hateley's points are valid as much as it pains me to say it.
Rangers have won two titles in a row, they have stability & that winning mentality.
Whereas our new guys have to prove themselves capable of winning the title.
So at the moment he has summed the situation up fairly well, that doesnt mean that our new players & manager wont ram his words down his mouth, until they do his article is correct. this is what Neil Lennon should be showing every one of our squad & saying there is the challenge now prove him wrong.
With regards to Bougherra he has been a very good player for them, remember everyone saying Larsson wasnt great because he played in a poor league, lets not jump on the same bandwagon. ( albeit the League is even poorer)
Kenny Miller has been absolutely sensational for them and it would be a fairly biased person IMO that said otherwise.
Lets remember Kenny didnt want to leave celtic & wgs didnt want him to go either. the championship was his level according to Peter Lawell ? Hmmm wipe that huge egg from your face peter & keep your nose out of team affairs.
These articles are great for motivation & i hate when celtic players or officials give other clubs the inspiration to beat them. there is nothing wrong with confidence, but its best kept behind closed doors & proving you are the best on the park.. talk is cheap.
We will have a better idea of how things are gona go this season after first old firm game i reckon.
Can Celtic win the league.. Hell yes... Hail Hail get it up ye Hateley ya hun...

Big Hately can say what he likes, I just smiled as I read it, because we will prove him and all the other bawbags wrong come the end of the season, he is more to be pitied than scolded.

To early to judge. I`ll wait till Nov. I am paranoid as I think the ref`s decision will not change from last season

James Beattie is a scheidtbag with no heart.
Jelavic is an unknown quantity. Hasn't impressed yet though has he?
Miller is erratic at times, but puts in 100% effort, and scores some excellent goals. I'll be happy to see him move on to a different side. If he leaves as a free agent I'd perhaps be tempted to ask him to join our squad. We have the money for him and the huns would hate that - Have to say I'd rather we had him than Sammy (and I'm not one of the Anti-Sammy Brigade, I just think Miller is better than him) - I'd want to keep our other strikers. Not quite revenge for Judas but still bolstering our squad and angering the scum. He clearly doesn't care who he plays for as long as the money's right.

I was going to post that the first old firm game of the season will be the test. But this season I think will be different. I dont think we as a team has it right yet. The Huns have a solid unit, players who know each other and have the understanding we lack. ( I think they will burn out )
But in time, I think Celtic have the better players. So Its up to Wee Lennon to get them to play as a team. Time will tell this season. I for one will give the management time they need to win this title back.
